From the Garden - Third Week of December 2020

Hi, Neighbor!

These frosty mornings are excellent for Trefoil Gardens to clear time and space to do some much-needed organizing and planning in our office, and begin to work on some projects that just can't seem to get done any other time of year. Of course, this means a later start outside, and with shorter days and the "slowness" that comes with working in cold temps, we are still scrambling to make our harvest deadline.

As the next two extended weekends fall on Holidays, we are taking a break from that harvest schedule to put some steam behind those projects, so please order all the food now for pickup this week.

This week, Trefoil Gardens is offering two options on our CSA Food Box, and including Grits from Buckeye Creek and Honey from Ross Berry Farm. Both of these farms have been incredibly important to our operation. We've been collaborating with Liz @ Buckeye Creek for years; and Veronica, RBF, spent a couple seasons as a workshare member before she installed an apiary here in the neighborhood. Along with lots of fresh veggies, all of which is grown right here in your neighborhood, so you can keep yourself and your family nourished over the coming holidays!

For gift ideas: We are still booking private mushroom inoculation sessions, and have some delicious and beautiful herbal teas, along with hydrosols, dried mushrooms, and catnip buds.

Our farmstand will be open on Thursday and Saturday for pickups this week, then will reopen in January. We hope you enjoy the holidays with your families- stay safe and healthy. (maybe stock up on elderberry syrup and spilanthes tincture, just to be sure)

This week's Regular Food box features Lettuce mix, pears, cauliflower, carrots, and more. Our LARGE box adds grits and honey!
We also have a large selection of À la carte items that we are happy to cut to order.

In January, we expect the goodness we are already harvesting to be joined by cabbages and beets. All of these crops, mushrooms, and more, will be producing through winter in your neighbors' gardens, and we hope you'll continue to support our work.

Also- please remember: the Farm.Fresh.Market. is officially closing after the 19th. We will continue to offer Saturday pickup at Market Street, but walk-up options will be significantly diminished
.
USE CODE FFM20B for the entire month of January to get 10% off everything in our store!

Thank you for your support!!!

Thursday will be self-service pickup in the CoOp. Pop in the front woodshed at The Kingsridge CoOp Orchard 3-5pm for all the goodness, and Rob will be nearby. If you have a question, please follow the directions on the board and text him. He'll come down, wash up, and help make sure you get what you came for.
We'll be at Downtown Woodstock Farm.Fresh.Market. Saturday morning from 8:30-10 for pickup and till 12 for walk-up service.
