From the Garden - 4th week of October 2020

#gardenincommunity

Hi, Neighbor!

We are gardening up against rain this week, but are cautiously optimistic for our Thursday pickups, so we're leaving it as an option.
The Sweet potatoes we dug a couple weeks ago are cured and sweet and ready, so we're putting them, along with TWO fresh salads, braising, radishes, and herbs in the CSA Box this week!
($24 value)

Rob weeded on the carrots yesterday, and although we had to replant 3x, we finally have a pretty good stand in most of our beds. Cauliflower and Broccoli are not quite ready to head-up yet, and our white and purple cabbages are showing signs of making heads. Savoy and Napa should be coming in over the next few weeks. Storage radishes (watermelon and black) are up, but moving slowly, and most of our lettuce starts are in the ground in various stages of growth. From our fall planting, we expect heads beginning in 2 weeks, and then continuously thru winter.

We still have plenty of bare root strawberry plants in our store, and be sure to grab some onion sets to plant along with them!
Of course, we have plenty of fresh produce available too... turnips, radishes, salads, and braising, and herbs and aromatics, along with honey, tinctures, hydrosols, and balm.
Thank you for your support!!!

Thursday will be self-service pickup in the CoOp. Pop in the front woodshed at The Kingsridge CoOp Orchard 4-6pm for all the goodness, and Rob will be nearby. If you have a question, please follow the directions on the board and text him. He'll come down, wash up, and help make sure you get what you came for.
We'll also be at Downtown Woodstock Farm.Fresh.Market. Saturday morning from 8:30-10 for pickup and till 12 for walk-up service.
Trefoil Gardens online store hours will be the same as always.
